Building permit applications are available and submitted at City Hall and are reviewed and approved by the City Planner and the Building Inspector. Tom Young is the City Planner with the City of Coweta and is charged with assisting the Community Development Director with reviewing and processing Subdivision Plats, Board of Adjustment cases, Rezoning cases, Lot splits, Applications for Building Permits and issuing service orders for the building inspector. He also assists in providing support for the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment. Tom has been with the City of Coweta for approximately 29 years in multiple positions as a part time employee, including EMT, Firefighter and Reserve Police Officer. Tom retired from the Fire department after 25 Years. Tom was raised in Tulsa and he and his wife Julie have two sons, three granddaughters, and four grandsons. Their oldest son Tom E Young III and his wife Lorie live in Texas. Their youngest son Alan and his wife Jessica live in Coweta.
