Coweta Fall Festival. September 14 - 16, 2017 Thursday 5pm - 10pm Friday 5pm - 11pm Saturday 9am - 11pm

While the parade in the annual Coweta Fall Festival won't begin until 11 AM on Saturday Sept. 16th, people planning to come to downtown Coweta to see the parade will want to arrive before 10 AM or take an alternate route into downtown Coweta to reach the parade viewing area along Chestnut and then on Broadway (Highway 72).

Beginning at 10 AM on Sept. 16th, Coweta Police officers, Coweta Fire Department personnel, Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers, Wagoner County Deputies, and Wagoner County Emergency Management personnel will close off the turn from Highway 51 into Coweta at Highway 72.

Highway 51 eastbound will be restricted to one lane of travel from just west of the Highway 72 turn off to past Sloat Junior High School to allow the Fall Festival Parade to return to the school. No public viewing is allowed along the return route on Highway 51. Multiple police officers and police vehicles, in addition to traffic control cones and signs will be in place along the route to ensure the safety of the traveling public and the parade participants.

A Coweta police officer will lead the parade and another officer will also be the final entry in the parade.

16 new 71 gallon, 594-pound water-filled traffic control barricades will be used in the downtown area to block traffic from entering into the Fall Festival space.
